I was in Madrid last year to promote the Spanish edition of Rolling Blackouts when I was given a very interesting assignment by El País Semanal: go to the Prado and the Reina Sofía museums, look at Goya’s painting, “the 3rd of May” and Picasso’s “Guernica” and make a comic reflecting on these works for the magazine. I only wish I had has more time to spend with these paintings (not the mention the other treasures I missed while speeding through these museums before my train left the station).
